I help organizations and independent makers put AI where it actually earns its place — from choosing where to start, through the build, to the point where it holds up in everyday work.
I started as a computer engineer and spent my first years inside the systems themselves — networks, infrastructure, the software an organization actually runs on. Then I ran the companies that built them: two engineering firms in Tehran delivering GSM network installation and optimization, where the job was less about the technology than about getting a team, a budget and a client to the same finish line.
Later, as an information systems business analyst, my work was the handover itself: sitting with the people who would use a new system, and staying until it lived in their daily work rather than in a manual. I did that in Tehran and, after moving to Canada, in Toronto. Since 2016 I have also been co-founder and executive chairman of a tourism company, in Tehran and, since 2025, in Vancouver. It was a deliberate step outside engineering, and my own proof that nobody is confined to the field they started in.
In between, I took a master's degree in urban management. My thesis measured the financial performance of municipalities using data envelopment analysis and multi-criteria decision methods — models that turn messy real-world numbers into a decision someone can defend. That is, more or less, what I now do with AI.
There is a second thread in my work, further from the machines. Since 2006 I have delivered and coached transformation workshops for individuals and for organizations, using an ontological approach — work centred on integrity and on what it takes to lead. Two decades of it taught me the thing no system diagram shows: what stalls a change is almost never the technology.
The thread running through all of it is one gap: the distance between a decision that has been made and a result that actually exists. AI can shorten that distance faster than anything else I have worked with — but not on its own, and not for someone who is not yet clear about where they are going. Both halves of that are the work. I do it from Vancouver, with clients wherever they are.
